Vaidya Balendu Prakash hails from a traditional Ayurvedic family. He is a science graduate and possesses 5½ years University degree in Ayurveda medicine. He practices Rasa-Shastra in Ayurveda that deals with therapeutics of processed metals and minerals in the prevention and treatment of chronic inflammatory, immunological and metabolic disorders. 

He is the Founder Director of VCP Cancer Research Foundation and Padaav – Speciality Ayurvedic Treatment Centre in India. He has received many grants from government and private bodies to support his experimental and clinical research projects and has developed products and protocols for the treatment of Allergic Rhinitis, Migraine, Nutritional Anemia, Hepatitis, Pancreatitis and Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia. He has nearly thirty five international publications and two international patents to his credit. 

He has made numerous presentations at national and international platforms. He is a recipient of fourth highest civilian award, Padmashri, from the President of India. He was selected as a CRAV (Certificate of Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth) guru in the field of Rasa Shastra for the year 2021. Vaidya Balendu is actively involved in carrying many experimental and clinical studies for the scientific validation of various aspects of Ayurvedic concepts of treatment in collaboration with various reputed institutes.
